The website of the Climact centre (EPFL/UNIL): light, fast, designed to consume as little as possible. The centre closed, and the site with it.
The story
Climact was a website dedicated to climate action, run by a centre of EPFL and UNIL. Consistent to the end: the site itself had to be frugal — light pages, as little data transferred as possible, and a lot of editorial content.
The centre closed, and climact.ch went dark with it.

What worked
A fast, light site with rich content: proof that you can do better than a heavy WordPress without giving up easy editing.
What got stuck
The site depended entirely on the institution behind it. When it closed, nobody was there to take it over.
What I take from it
This is where my way of building comes from: light, fast, nothing wasted.
